It's really very good!

They open with Little Red Rooster - and I swear that the guitar is so good it gives me butterflies! Nuff said for that one!

You Can't Always Get What You Want is next (minus the choir!). The guitar is so soft, it makes the song have a delicate feel. Ian really sounds like Mick in this song, and I really love the bass!

If I'm honest, I don't know what the third song is called - I've never heard it before, so I can't really comment, but still sounds good! And very Stonsyfied!

Next up is my fave, Gimme shelter, so I am going to be a bit biased. Now, Ian, don't throttle me, because you did say comment honestly, I think that it would be better if there was a woman accompanying you. But that's only my opinion, if you are getting good comments, then ignore what I'm saying! Other than that, Bloody Fantastic, with a capital B and a capital F! I love the drums and I love the bass and the guitars. Ok, I love it!

It's All Over Now. I love this one! You make it really upbeat and lively. It sounds really fresh. LOVE the guitar solo! A fantastic cover of a fantastic song! (And the first UK no. 1 for the Stones!)

Next - Angie. Ok, don't laugh at me - this made me cry. In a good way, I promise! I absolutely love Angie anyway, but I was listening to it with my eyes closed and imaginging it in concert and didn't hear Stikky Fingers - I heard the Stones. It is so accurate. A fugging awesome cover.

Paint It Black. I like this one - I'm not sure about the Sitar effect though. I feel that it could be more Sitar-like. Otherwise, it's good. I adore the person doing the person doing the 'hmm hmm hmm hmm' thing in the background! Bless 'im!

Miss You! Woo! Such a fantastic opening! And Ian, you really sound like Mick in this one. Possibly one of the best on the CD. But, I love them all, so I couldn't pick one. Like with Angie, this one sounds so much like the Stones, but this one didn't make me cry! And Oh. My. God. The harmonica! You have to teach me how to play!

Can I please congratulate you on an AMAZ cd! I can't wait to see you live! So get down to Suffolk, pronto!

If you PM StikkyFinger, perhaps you can sort something out...

Don't take my word for it though.

Carol, when you come stay at mine, we'll go up to York to see them, and while we're there, we might as well see the Counterfeits if they're in the area.

If not, the real thing in Wembley will do! Ok, I give in! everyone is invited to come to mine and we'll travel down to London to see the Stones in Wembley! Mike (my Step-Dad) joined this thing where as soon as the tickets go on sale, they will ring him and ask how many he wants! He told the company he wants all info on Stones stuff. Go Mike! He's ok, for some reasons.

It would be fun! I would love to come to America, but I don't know that we can afford it at the moment. The Inland Revenue have buggered up again and are taking loads of money away from us...

unsure.gif

Anyway, StikkyFinger - do you have any other CD's? I'll pay for that one! LoL! I'd love to hear them. I think it would be interesting if you were to do a studio album too.

Hello all!

Yeah we could do with 'some girls' doing backing vocals on Gimme Shelter - but we don't have any girl singers!

The sitar in Paint it Black doesn't sound like a sitar because........... we don't have a sitar! (or even a baby sitar).

As for another CD there are still another 16 tracks which were recorded - so we could make another CD if there is enough demand ....

Regards,

Ian.

BTW - the track you didn't know is probably Just my Imagination...

I hope you don't mind what I wrote. You asked me to write honestly, and I did that as best as I could.

PS. I demand you make another CD! LoL!

Its Laura, i haven't been on here for aggeeesss but i thougth i'd show my support for stikky fingers - i saw them live at the Springhead in Hull in August - they were bloody brilliant! Really. I haven't heard the live CD yet, but Ged has promised to lend me his. A truly fantastic version of Don't Stop, that was brilliant! Well they were all good. I am hopefully going to see them again next week at Beverley, can't wait! Ian you should play the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe, its just been re-opened, and they've got a beatles tribute lined so we definately need Stones!!!

Keep on Rockin!

Interesting!

Today, I was at a music store and I saw several tribute CD's dedicated to the Stones. One of which was a Reggae Tribute to the Stones, I almost bought it!

Now, my question is, "Do any of these Tribute bands have permission to record the Stones' music?"

I don't think there is a problem with tribute bands recording live gigs, and I know that the Counterfeit Stones have recorded Honky Tonk Women and Satisfaction in a studio - they use it on their promo CD.

Good tribute bands are good for the Stones as they remind people how good the Stones are. Bad tribute bands are also good for the Stones - for the same reason!

However if we were to claim that these recordings were made by the Stones or record new songs and say they were by the Stones I am sure that we would be hearing from Micks solicitors.

Regards,

Ian,

I still feel a bit blink.gif I had seven hours of Samba yestarday. I have bruises all on my legs, blisters all over my hands and get cramps all the time, but that's what samba does to you! I have been off school all this week too. I managaed to persuade Mum to let me go to Samba yesterday. OH. MY. GOD. I am now an official member - we have finished our course. They gave us our membership stuff (it's so cool!) BUT we have to do a gig in front of the rest of the band on Tuesday and I think it's safe to say I am soiling myself! I had fun in the pub yesterday though. It was so HILAR!

Laura! You posted! I promise I will ring you one day, but I am too scared! LoL!

Hope you all liked my review. Ian said he was going to make a review page on the Stikky Fingers site, so if you want to hear more than my paltry version, then clikety-click-click!

Hello Everyone!

As we've had a lot of interest in our Stikky Fingers CD I will not be able to send anymore out free.

I'll have to make a charge to cover my costs, but I'll make it as low as I can.

Dande will get the last free one!

Regards,

Ian.

Hi Annie! I always wonder how people can enjoy something so much that puts : "bruises all on my legs, blisters all over my hands and get cramps all the time, but that's what samba does to you!" LOL blink.gif You're so funny, but I'm glad you're having a good time!

Ian, You have been more than generous. I thank you and will thank you even more when I find my little package in the mail!

Carol, that's really cool! Are they teaching people in those areas how to play it, or just introducing them to the music?

Sorry Ian!
